Thank you to all the Year 4 children for their hard work on the Ancient Greek Topic Homework Project. There were lots of amazing artefacts on show in our Greek Museum after school this week which clearly showed off the children’s learning. We hope that you managed to come along and see them in person!
Click here for an amazing graphic novel project made by Abigail in Angel Class. Not only did she make the Lego herself but she also made the backdrops using a green screen. Well done Abigail!
We had a fantastic Launch Day for our new topic of Gods and Monsters. The children looked amazing in their costumes, thank you for all your help and support with this. We did a lot of learning which included reading the Ancient Greek Myth of Theseus and the Minotaur and then working in teams to make their own maze with the Palace of King Minos on top. They also made some paper maché vases that we will be painting later in the term. Finally they looked at some of the mythical monsters such as Medusa, Cerberus, Sirens, the Minotaur, Hydra and the Chimera and started to design their own Ancient Greek monsters.

Here are some useful websites to find out more information about our Ancient Greek topic.
This half term we will be using Turtle Academy to learn how to write algorithms and then debug them if needed. Here is the link to the free website that we are using. Don’t forget to click on the Lessons tab on the top toolbar for a step by step guide.
Science Week, March 2017
Year 4 had a great time during Science Week doing a range of activities including the Giant Bubble Experiment with Mr Hooper, an interactive Science Quiz and making slime. Some experiments were more successful than others!
