After School Club Provisions:

At Coopers Lane, we are committed to providing a wide range of after school activities for all age groups across the school. This offer is something we are really proud of.

We work with two brilliant companies, Sportacus (https://www.sportacus.co.uk/) and Cheer London Allstarz (https://www.cheerlondonallstarz.com/).

We work hard with the current companies to keep the session costs as low as possible and believe that they are excellent value for money.  As always, if the finances are a block to you accessing the provision we do ask that you get in touch with us. We will also continue to subsidise clubs for all children accessing Pupil Premium funding, offering a 50% reduction per child, per term.

We have selected the club options for the Spring term; However, as there is scope for a wider range of club options. We will ensure we are responding to the needs of the school community.

Summer Term Clubs

Monday –  Art (Key Stage 1), Cheerleading (Years 2 – 6) and Dodgeball (Reception to Year 6)

Tuesday – Art (Key Stage 2) and Football (Reception to Year 6)

Wednesday – Cricket and Dance (Reception to Year 6)

Thursday – Gymnastics and Lego (Reception to Year 6)

Friday – Archery and Musical Theatre (Reception to Year 6)

This new approach means that we will now have the capacity to host all siblings in a club, on the same day. We hope that this will be supportive for families.

The booking system is now open, and further details can be found via the Sportacus and Cheer London Allstarz websites. Currently, we have unlimited spaces available in all classes, apart from Art and Cheerleading (which has a capacity of 30).

Music Instrument Lessons at Coopers Lane

At Coopers Lane our love of music begins as soon as we join the school. Our Nursery and Reception classes all have a range of musical instruments where we start to learn about rhythm, pitch and volume. Learning through play, we use our imagination and creativity to express ourselves and how we are feeling. As we progress through the school, we continue learning the language of music, understanding that every culture makes music which speaks to us in different ways. During our time here, we are given the chance to learn how to play recorders, ukuleles and steel pans with specialist teachers and we have a wonderful school choir who regularly perform in the Lewisham Live Voices concert at the Catford Broadway Theatre.

Coopers Lane also offer private tuition for the following instruments:

Please note that once your child starts instrumental lesson they will continue automatically unless you give a terms notice to terminate the lessons, they do not need to be renewed like other clubs.

Music lessons are largely taken during the school day and are not an after school club
