School opening to more pupils

As communicated previously, school will be closed for staff training on Monday 1st June. 

Children can only return to school if you have received a letter informing you of a start date and other details. If you have not received a letter, you must not bring your child to school. Please contact the school office if you have any questions.

Children of Key Workers and Vulnerable Groups

If you have requested a place, you should have already received a letter via email detailing the information that you will need, including start date, drop off/pick up times and the allocated ‘bubble’ for your child. If you have not received a letter it is because we have not received any communication from you, and your child will not be able to return to school at the current time.

Nursery and Reception

At the current time, we are only opening for the children of Key Workers and Vulnerable Groups. See above.

Year 1 and Year 6

If you have requested a place and we have space in the bubbles, you will receive a letter detailing the information that you will need concerning your child’s return to school, including drop off/pick up times and the allocated ‘bubble’ for your child. If you do not receive a letter it is because we have not received any communication from you, and your child will not be able to return to school.

If you have been offered a place for your child to return to school prior to 22^nd June but you have not yet brought your child to school, you will need to make a new request for a place. We cannot keep places open indefinitely and we have now filled these places with other children.

The final intake this term will be on Monday 29^th June, which will be for the last 3 weeks of the school year. If you would now like your child to return to school, please email the school office to let us know – info@cooperslane.lewisham.sch.uk. Please ensure you give the name of your child and confirm that you wish for them to return to school. The final start date will now be Monday 29^th June. We are unable to offer a return to school this year after this date.

Please note: due to the government guidance on reduced class sizes, your child will now be in a mixed bubble with children from all 3 classes in the year group, and they will not have their own class teacher.

 School is Monday-Thursday only

Year 2,3,4,5

We are unable to open the school for these year groups at the moment and it is unlikely that this will change for the remainder of the school year. We will continue to provide home learning resources via google classroom for all year groups – see the home learning page of the website.

Government guidance on testing for coronavirus

Anyone who is displaying symptoms of coronavirus can now request a test. Tests are for any age, including children under 5 years old.
