New School Roof

Upcoming Building Work 

Over the next few months, we will be having the entire roof of the Key Stage 2 building replaced. Due to the size of the project, the work cannot be completed during the school holidays, so some of the work will be done during the summer term. 

Scaffolding has been erected during the half term break and the work is due to start right away. While we are still in school for the summer term, the contractors will only be working on the flat roof areas. The main pitched roof will not be started until we break up for the summer holidays.

There will be very little disruption, however due to the scaffolding the Year 5 and 6 entrance will be closed for the rest of this school year. The temporary entrance/exit for Years 5 and 6 will be through the main gates.
 
Unfortunately, the staff car park has been significantly reduced in size, which means most school staff will have to park on the street for the rest of the term. This means that there will not be parking available on Pragnell Road for parents. I would like to request that you make alternative arrangements and use neighbouring streets to park on and then walk the rest of the way in to school. If possible, now that we are in the warmer months, why not walk to school and enjoy this extra family time. It’s a great way to get some valuable exercise and a really lovely way to start the day.
 
The work is due to be completed in September.
