It’s a GOLD month!

We are very proud to announce that Coopers Lane School has received two wonderful awards this month (November 2020):

Unicef Rights Respecting Schools Award: GOLD

The Award recognises a school’s achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child into practice within the school and beyond. Gold is the highest level award given to schools by Unicef. You can read the full report from Unicef here:

Artsmark: GOLD

The Artsmark Award is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by Arts Council England. Artsmark support settings to develop and celebrate their commitment to arts and cultural education. Here is some of the lovely feedback we received from Artsmark after our assessment for the award:

“Coopers Lane Primary sounds like an amazing place to be for pupils and staff. Your commitment to and the delivery of the Arts in an authentic way is exemplary such as linking the Artsmark with the Rights Respecting Award through specific projects on recycling and Black History Month. The Arts clearly has a high profile and is strategically planned to run through the life of the school calendar, it is completely integrated and most definitely not a “bolt on” … Coopers Lane Primary is clearly a school that does not stand still, constantly striving to improve on its own personal best.”
