Why not try a bit of baking to pass some time at home. Join in the fun with Mr Hooper as he teaches you how to bake.

VICTORIA SANDWICH

  • 4 large eggs 
  • castor sugar (same weight as the 4 eggs)
  • butter (same weight as the 4 eggs)
  • self-raising flour (same weight as the 4 eggs)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 level tsp baking powder

MUFFINS

  • 145g caster sugar
  • 250g self-raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 85g melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 200 millilitres milk

 

FLAPJACK

Ingredients

  • 200 g oats
  • 150 g dates, raisins or other chopped dried fruit
  • 40 g desiccated coconut or seeds e.g. sunflower or pumpkin seeds
  • Zest of a lemon
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 apple grated (peeling is optional)
  • 1 table spoon of honey 
  • 100 g butter (you can also use sunflower oil or coconut oil)

BREAD

Ingredients

Medium Loaf (double everything for a large loaf)

250g Strong White Bread Flour

20g Butter

6g Dried Yeast

1 tsp Salt

150ml Luke Warm Water
