Home Learning
- Reading – please read at least three times a week with your child and make a comment in their Reading Diary. Your child will be able to change their reading book on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week.
- Education City – every child has a login to the Education City website which has a wide range of fun activities across the curriculum that can be accessed at home..
Here are some fun websites that will also support your child’s learning at home:
For English: practise your grammar by sorting verbs, nouns and adjectives; punctuate sentences, making sure that your capital letters and full stops are in the correct places.
For Maths: practise doubling and halving numbers; see if you can beat the clock and quickly recall your numbers bonds.
Don’t forget, there are loads of fantastic games on Education City that your child can access at home. This one in particular – Heist to See You – is great to consolidate number bonds. Please ask your child’s class teacher for your child’s log in details if you have misplaced these.
